I got the 3" Drill Press vise to use with a 10" bench top drill press (Remember this is the 3" 3-way version). This vise is really nice, its ALL heavy built. All the working parts were very firm out of the box with no noticeable play in anything. it was also packed with some sort of rust preventive grease which took a little time to clean off, but that's a good thing. The tee handle rod can be removed and the jaw adjustment handle (Tube) can be turned with your hand and the adjusting jaw stem threads in and out of the handle so the stem is fixed at the jaw, that is to say the handle rotates around the stem and the stem doesn't turn at all. The eye for detail in the machine work on the jaw plates is excellent. The overall Iron casting is also really good. This vise is heavy to be only a 3" vise. The vise has three machined flat surfaces to set it on, the main long flat bottom, one narrow side, and at the forward end (handle upward). Now, I can't compare this to another $74.00 plus vise but I can compare it to the other garbage $20.00 vise's that's being sold and this vise is for sure in a different class. Also, the T-bar handle is removable making it not necessary to extend out past the drill press table. This a a VERY nice vise!
